The Role

Key Responsibilities for the Materials Controller include:

• Coordinate material and equipment requirements from operational and engineering teams
• Manage supplier activity, lead times and delivery schedules
• Expedite orders and resolve supply or availability issues proactively
• Support material availability for operational and project delivery
• Create and manage orders within ERP and legacy systems
• Maintain accurate inventory and materials data
• Work closely with logistics teams to support site deliveries
• Support demand planning and identify supply risks or trends
• Escalate supplier performance or delivery concerns where required
• Operate effectively within a changing and evolving systems environment

The OrganisationAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Materials Controller for a 24m period with the potential to go permanent working on a supportive an established materials team.You’ll work closely with engineering teams, suppliers, procurement and logistics colleagues to manage material flow, resolve supply issues and support operational delivery. You’ll be joining a supportive team structure with strong exposure to large-scale supply chain operations and genuine opportunities for long-term progression.About You

The Materials Controller will have:

• Experience within materials control, supply chain, logistics, inventory or procurement support
• Experience coordinating suppliers and managing material availability
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Confidence working across systems, spreadsheets and manual processes
• The ability to prioritise effectively under pressure
• A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
