Assistant Buying Manager - East Midlands, UK
This leading national retailer requires an experienced Assistant Buying Manager, who will have full responsibility for their product area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful business, with excellent career progression.
Key responsibilities:
Strong commercial focus required to contribute to business plans;
Being a strong team player and supporting the Buying Manager;
Managing salesplan implementation to the plan, and being a point of contact for indirect team;
Overseeing supplier plans to develop performance, conducting external relationships with professionalism and efficiency;
Working closely with Supply, Merchandising, Marketing, Operations and Logistics functions;
Good analytical skills to monitor performance against KPI's and reporting as required.
Key requirements:
Candidates of graduate calibre are typically required, with line management experience preferred but not essential. At least 2 years' experience in a retail environment is preferred, ideally within a retail/account management/FMCG environment. You also need to be highly driven, with a strong determination to succeed.
